Licensed Lay Worship Leaders Atlantic Learning Unit 4 – Creation @ Tatamagouche Centre
Aug 10 @ 5:30 pm – Aug 12 @ 2:30 pm

Until recently the liturgical season of Creation has been considered optional. In years past our seasons, worship and theology have focused on the life of Jesus and on our relationship with God and with other human beings. Thankfully today we recognize the critical importance of our relationship with all creation and realize that the Season of Creation should inspire our worship and witness through the whole year. In this Learning Unit, participants will consider weekly themes such as earth, mountains, ocean, rivers, sky, stars, forest and wilderness, and blessing of the animals. This Learning Unit also includes a focus on the fine art of selecting music for congregational worship and on creation theology.

This program is open to all those seeking to be and those who are currently licensed as LLWL.

Social Justice Youth Camp @ Tatamagouche Centre
Aug 13 – Aug 17 all day

The award winning Social Justice Youth Camp is back!

We bring youth together from all the different communities and cultures in the Maritimes for a camp that focuses on social justice and environmental issues, culture, and gender, race and injustice.

Come join the experience. Come join the community!

This multicultural camp is an opportunity for youth (ages 14-18) to learn how to make a difference. Lots of games, dynamic activities and discussions will be mixed with awareness and action. Join youth from all over the Maritimes to practice strategies against racism, use arts against injustice, discuss gender relations and positive and healthy sexuality, explore different cultural contexts, build alliances, and have a whole lot of fun! The camp will be facilitated by a diverse team of young adults from the region who actively live their lives working for social change.
